Lyrics:
1. Mouth For War
Revenge
I’m screaming revenge again
Wrong
I’ve been wrong for far too long
Been constantly so frustrated
I’ve moved mountains with less
When I channel my hate to productive
I don’t find it hard to impress
Hands break to hone raw energy
Bold and disastrous
My ears can’t hear what you say to me[Chorus]Hold your mouth for the war
Use it for what it’s for
Speak the truth about me
Determined
Possessed
I feel a conquering will down inside me
Strength
The strength of many to crush
Who might stop me
My strength is in number
And my soul lies in every one
The releasing of anger can better any medicine under the sun
There comes a time within everyone to close your eyes to what’s real
No comprehension to fail
I vacuum the wind for my sail
Can’t be the rest
Let others waste my time
Owning success is the bottom line.
Like a knife into flesh
After life is to death
Pulling and punching the rest of duration
NO ONE can piss on this determination
2. A New Level
Now a new look in my eyes my spirit rise
Forget the past
Present tense works and lasts
Got shit on
Pissed on
Spit on
Stepped on
Fucked with
Pointed at by lesser men
Unscarred by trials[Chorus]A new level of confidence and power
Demanding plea for unity between us all —
United stand
Death before divided fall
In mock military order
Vulgar
Power
Impatient
Because time is shorter
No fucking surrender
Can’t lose
Life kills
3. Walk
Can’t you see I’m easily bothered by persistence
One step from lashing out at you…
You want in to get under my skin
And call yourself a friend
I’ve got more friends like you
What do I do?
What it takes, who I am, where I’ve been belong
You can’t be something you’re not
Be yourself, by yourself
Stay away from me
A lesson learned in life
Known from the dawn of time[Chorus:]Respect, walk, what did you say?
Respect, walk, are you talking to me?
Are you talking to me?
Run your mouth when I’m not around, it’s easy to achieve
You cry to weak friends that sympathize
Can you hear the violins playing your song?
Those same friends tell me your every word
Respect, walk, are you talking to me?
Respect, walk, what did you say?
Respect, walk, are you talking to me?
Are you talking to me?
No way punk!
[Solo][Chorus:]Respect, walk, what did you say?Respect, walk, are you talking to me?
Respect, walk, what did you say?
Respect, walk, are you talking to me?
Are you talking to me?
Walk on home, boy!
4. Fucking Hostile
Almost every day
I see the same face
On broken picture tube
It fits the attitude
If you could see yourself
You put you on a shelf
Your verbal masturbate
Promise to nauseate
Today I’ll play the part of non-parent
Not make a hundred rules
For you to know about yourself
Not lie and make you believe
What’s evil is making love
and making friends
and meeting God you’re own way
The right way
To bleed
Cannot be taught
In turn
You’re making us
Pantera Vulgar Display Of Power Remastered Rar Download Torrent
Fucking hostileWe stand alone
The truth in right and wrong
The boundaries of the law
You seem to miss the point
Arresting for a joint?
You seem to wonder why
Hundreds of people die
You’re writing tickets man
My mom got jumped — they ran!
Now I’ll play a public servant
To serve and protect
By the law and the state
I’d bust the punks
That rape steal and murder
And leave you be
If you crossed me
I’d shake your hand like a man
Not a god
Come meet your maker, boy
Some things you can’t enjoy
Because of heaven/hell
A fucking wives’ tale
They put it in your head
Then put you in your bed
He’s watching say your prayers
Cause God is everywhere
Now I’ll play a man learning priesthood
Who’s about to take the ultimate test in life
I’d question things because I am human
And call NO ONE my father who’s no closer that a stranger
I won’t listen
[Chorus]5. This Love
If ever words were spoken
Painful and untrue
I said I loved but I lied
In my life
All I wanted
Was the keeping
Of someone like you
As it turns out
Deeper within me
Love was twisted and pointed at you
Never ending pain, quickly ending life —
[Chorus]You keep this love, thing, love, child, love, toyYou keep this love, fist, love, scar, love, break
You keep this love
I’d been the tempting one
Stole her from herself
This gift in pain
Her pain was life
And sometimes I feel so sorry
I regret this the hurting of you
But you make me so unhappy
I’d take my life and leave love with you
I’d kill myself for you, I’d kill you for myself —
[Chorus]No more head trips
6. Rise
We’ve got no time to lose
Your news is old news
Hate this, hate me, hate this
Right approach for the wrong
It’s time to spread the word
Let the voice be heard
All of us, one of us, all of us
Dominate and take the motherfucking world
Mass prediction, unification
Breathing life into our lungs
EVERY creed and EVERY kind
To give us depth for strength
Taught when we’re young to hate one another
It’s time to have a new reign of power
Make pride universal so no one gives in
Turn our backs on those who oppose
Then when confronted we ask them the question
What’s wrong with their mind?
What’s wrong with your mind?
We’ve lived with past mistakes
And we’ve lived with our own
Forgive, forget forgive
Be a man, not a child
There are to tears for peace
Of the common sympathies
Educate, reinstate, educate
A thing of past
The trouble in the states
It’s time to rise
7. No Good (Attack The Radical)
In the states
There’s a problem with race
Because of ignorant past burned fires
From evolution
We’ve been killing each other
I figure man should have it down to a science
No chance
Not for a minute
Not for a second
I won’t be defensive
I’m straight out in my opinion
You’d better listen to a man who knows what he is saying
I’ve seen your side
You run and hide for the mere fact that you feel inferior
Be superior
And know your interior
Black man, white man
No stand
Live in the past
We make it last
A hated mass
No solution
Mind pollution
For revolution[Chorus]So low behold my eyes
This land of fools will rise
No good
For no one
You blame oppression and play the role of criminals
To rape and burn show progress is minimal
White hoods and militants you know it’s such a pity
Living, breathing
Violence in your city
If one man
Had one home
In one world
Held live alone without variety
Full of anxiety
No one to point at, question
Or even talk to — in his private grave
No matter what color
He wouldn’t be saved from hell
He dwells
A closed mind playing the part of prison cells
8. Live In A Hole
Full of grief I scream at the wind
Thought I heard the words of others
Imprison myself
And stay in a shell
I won’t let you in to have a story to tell
Things tend to drag me down
Don’t understand so they hate me now
My grip fears I’ll die alone
I promised myself somewhere in the teenage life
I’d never submit to the ones I will not be like
Live in a hole
But stay close to my kind
Cause they understand what burns in my mind
I still feel incomplete
Friends are few and far between
9. Regular People (Conceit)
I’ve trampled on that road
That you think you own
You have that “smart ass” attitude
It’s time to stop the fiction
I live it every day
While your mind’s far away
I’m out here putting pride on the line
And you case on me with pure respect
One chance at one thing
Hard time is coming
My time, your pain
I reign on you
I take away
Take it with me
You think you own
I took away
Made it my own[Chorus]Most regular people would say it’s hard
And any streetwise son of a bitch knows
Don’t fuck with this
The so many times
You practice in your mirror
To be just like me
But you just can’t see
You ain’t got the balls, son
I fight for love of brother
Your friends fight one another
You can’t see because your head’s up your ass
And just in case you think you’re bad
I crush your rush
I rule YOU fool
I’m immovable stone in your world of weak — I speak
10. By Demons Be Driven
Serving the faith
Abduction the oath
It lie in wait for the offering
Religion is old
For drawing the young
Purity withers and dies
Never return to the ones that provided
Children draining parents of will
I hold out my hand to bloodless child
I’m taken by the one I was saving
From death
Beckon the call
With decline in mind
End not far
We’re left hanging alone here
He pulls us from nails
Shatters our bones
Leaving us crippled and strewn
Boiling my corpse in the blood of his children
Praying for his god to prevail
Burying us with loved ones
To sleep with shelled children of the sixth dimension
11. Hollow
What’s left inside him?
Don’t he remember us?
Can’t he believe me?
We seemed like bothers
Talked for hours last month
About what we wanna be
I sit now with his hand in mine
But I know he can’t feel…
No one knows
What’s done is done
It’s as if he were dead
I’m close with his mother
And she cries endlessly
Lord how we miss him
At least what’s remembered
It’s so important to make best friends in life
But it’s hard when my friend sits with blank expressions
No one knows
What’s done is done
It’s as if he were dead
He as hollow as I alone now
He as hollow as I alone
A shell of my friend
Just flesh and bone
There’s no soul
He sees no love
I shake my fists at skies above
Mad at God
He as hollow as I converse
I wish he’d waken from this curse
Hear my words before it’s through
I want to come in after you
My best friend
He as hollow as I alone

Vulgar Display of Power is the sixth studio album by the American heavy metal band Pantera, released on February 25, 1992. Released on Atco Records its is often considered one of the most influential heavy metal albums of the 1990s.[2] Several of its tracks have become among the band's best known, such as 'Mouth for War', 'A New Level', 'Walk' and 'Fucking Hostile'.
- 5Release
Background[edit]
The band's 1990 major label debut, Cowboys from Hell,[3] demonstrated a change in their musical direction, from their 1980s material influenced by bands like Van Halen and Kiss[4][5] to a new similarity to bands like Slayer, Metallica and Black Sabbath.[4][6]
Recording and production[edit]
In 1991, Pantera returned to Pantego Sound Studio to record their second release under Atco, Vulgar Display of Power.[7][8] The album was produced by Terry Date, who specializes in the rock and metal genres and had worked with the band on Cowboys from Hell. Date also went on to produce the band's following two albums, Far Beyond Driven (1994) and The Great Southern Trendkill (1996).[7][8] Before Date came in to work on the album, the band had demoed three tracks, 'A New Level', 'Regular People (Conceit)' and 'No Good (Attack the Radical)'.[7] The rest of the songs were written in the studio with little preproduction and demoing.[7]
After being in the studio for two months, Pantera were invited to open for Metallica and AC/DC at the 1991 Monsters of Rock free concert in Moscow, Russia's[7]Tushino airfield on September 28, 1991.[9][10] The band then returned to the studio to continue work on the album.[11] They travelled to New York City to master the album at Masterdisk.[12] Although guitarist Darrell Abbott was credited on the album with nickname 'Diamond Darrell', during the recording of the album he had dropped that nickname and assumed 'Dimebag Darrell', and bassist Rex Brown dropped the pseudonym 'Rexx Rocker'.[13]
Musical style and lyrics[edit]
Drummer Vinnie Paul said that Cowboys from Hell was really close to the 'definitive Pantera sound'.[14] When Metallica released their self titled album in 1991, Pantera considered it a letdown to fans because they believed Metallica abandoned the thrash metal sound heard in previous albums.[7][14] Pantera felt they had an opportunity and a gap to fill; they wanted to make the heaviest record of all time.[7][14]
The riff for 'Walk' is played in a time signature of 12/8.[15] Darrell had played the riff during a soundcheck while Pantera was touring for Cowboys from Hell and the rest of the band loved it.[15] Following this tour, the band returned home and found that some friends thought that rock stardom had gone to their heads.[15] The lyrics for the song were inspired from these people's attitude toward the band; Anselmo's message to them was, 'Take your fucking attitude and take a fuckin' walk with that. Keep that shit away from me.'[15]
Title and artwork[edit]
The title of the album is taken from a line in the 1973 film, The Exorcist.[12][16] In April 2007, the title was used for the book A Vulgar Display of Power: Courage and Carnage at the Alrosa Villa, which includes many Pantera song titles as chapter headings.[17][18] The book details the incidents leading up to the murder of Dimebag Darrell.[17][18]
The album's cover is a photo of a man being punched in the face and was shot by photographer Brad Guice, who also shot the photo for the Cowboys from Hell cover.[12] The band told their label that they wanted 'something vulgar, like a dude getting punched'.[12] The first version of the cover that the label brought to the band showed a boxer with a punching glove, but the band did not like it, so the label produced a second version, with the bare fist.[12] According to Vinnie Paul, the man on the cover was paid $10 a punch and was hit in the face 31[19] times to get the right picture.[12] However, Brad Guice stated that the man, who was named Sean Cross, was never actually hit.[12]
Release[edit]
Vulgar Display of Power was released on February 25,[20] 1992.[8] The original album spawned four singles. 'Mouth for War', 'This Love' and 'Hollow' were released in 1992. In 1993, the band released the fourth single, titled 'Walk', along with a number of EP's featuring remixes of the song. In 1993, the Walk EP was released in Japan, but on May 16, 2012, the EP was made available to purchase digitally in the United States for the first time.[21] The band also released music videos for 'Mouth for War', 'This Love' and 'Walk', they were included on Vulgar Video and 3 Vulgar Videos from Hell. The music video for 'Walk' was shot at the Riviera Theatre in Chicago, Illinois, where the band played the song multiple times to capture live video footage in front of fans.[15]
On April 12, 2012, the unheard song 'Piss' was released.[22][23] It was recorded during the sessions for the album but never featured on the original album.[23] The music video for 'Piss' debuted at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards, on April 11, 2012.[23] The main riff from 'Piss' was used in the song 'Use My Third Arm' on the band's following record Far Beyond Driven.[24]
Tour and media appearances[edit]
To promote the album, Pantera toured with Skid Row and Soundgarden giving them the opportunity to perform in front of a mainstream audience in the United States.[25] After touring with Skid Row the band did a European tour with Megadeth.[26] The band also toured with White Zombie in 1992.[26] The unique sound and the band's explosive live performances helped them gain more popularity.[27]
The music videos for singles from the album were played in relatively heavy rotation on MTV.[27] Also during the 1990s, MTV's Headbangers Ball used excerpts from the album's songs for the show's opening theme, bumpers, and closing theme.[28] 'Walk' and 'Mouth for War' are available as downloadable tracks for the video gameRock Band 3.[29][30] 'Walk' was also featured on Madden NFL 10, CSI: NY and Monday Night Football.[15][31]
'By Demons Be Driven' appears in the 2015 Academy Award-nominated film The Big Short: actor Christian Bale is seen performing along to the song on drums, which he learned for that one scene.[32]
20th anniversary reissue[edit]
On May 15, 2012, a two-disc deluxe edition of Vulgar Display of Power was released to celebrate its 20th Anniversary.[33] Disc one is a remastered version of the original album along with the song 'Piss'.[33] Disc two is a DVD featuring six songs from Pantera's set at their 1992 Monsters of Rock performance in Reggio Emilia, Italy.[33] Disc two also contains the three music videos for 'Mouth for War', 'Walk' and 'This Love'.[33] Vinnie Paul said that 'Piss' was 'the only undiscovered complete Pantera track there ever was' and it would appear on the 20th anniversary release.[34] He also said that at the time of the original release, the band thought that it didn't feel right to go on the record.[34]

Vulgar Display of Power received critical acclaim upon release. Many critics have praised Darrell's guitar work on the album and use of heavy riffs to set the tone for the album.[35][38][40][45] Reviewers also pointed out the change in Anselmo's vocals from previous releases, with him using deeper growls and powerful vocals to accompany the catchy riffs and aggressive lyrics.[35][40][45]
Kerrang! and Sputnikmusic both gave the album 4 out of 5.[39][44] Steve Huey of AllMusic rated the album 4.5 out of 5 stars, describing it as 'One of the most influential heavy metal albums of the 1990s'.[35] He also said that while the album stacks the best songs at the beginning, the riffs and sonic textures are more consistently interesting than those used in Cowboys from Hell.[35] Janiss Garza writing for Entertainment Weekly said that it was 'one of the most satisfying heavy metal records since Metallica's early-80s cult days'.[38] She also praised the album's two ballad tracks 'This Love' and 'Hollow', stating 'their tough edge slashes painfully through deep introspection about personal relationships'.[38]
Reviewing the 20th Anniversary reissue, Michael Christopher of The Phoenix rated the album 3.5 out of 4 stars stating while the bonus track 'Piss' doesn't match up to the rest of the material, the groove that flows through the original record is the muscle behind what mattered most.[40] Denise Falzon of Exclaim! stated that the reissue sounds a little cleaner from the enhanced production quality.[45] She noted that 'Piss' does sound oddly out of place on the reissue, but the release is worthwhile for the DVD showcasing the band's dynamic live performance.[45] In 2005, Vulgar Display of Power was ranked number 333 in Rock Hard magazine's book of The 500 Greatest Rock & Metal Albums of All Time.[46]
Commercial performance[edit]
Vulgar Display of Power peaked at number 44 on the Billboard 200 albums chart and spent a total of 79 weeks on the chart, the most weeks any Pantera album spent on the chart.[47] The album also peaked at number 64 on the UK Albums Chart,[48] number 69 on the German Chart,[49] and number 54 on the Oricon Chart.[50] The album has since gone on to become Pantera's best selling album, attaining many certifications since its release including double platinum status in the United States.[51] The album achieved gold status in Canada, in August 1993 and has achieved gold status in the UK.[52][53] The album has also achieved a platinum certification in Australia.[54] In the week ending May 20, 2012, the album re-entered the Billboard 200 chart at number 48, taking the total sales to 2,177,000 copies.[55] This was due to release of the 20th Anniversary reissue which sold over 9000 copies in the U.S. during its first week.[56]
The album's lead single, 'Mouth for War', became the band's first song to ever chart, debuting in October 1992 on the UK Singles Chart and managing to peak at number 73.[48] The album's fourth single 'Walk' gave the band their first top 40 UK hit when it peaked at number 35 in early 1993.[48]

Legacy and accolades[edit]
Vulgar Display of Power has been listed as one of the 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.[57] Chad Bowar of About.com ranked the album at number one in his list of the 'Best Heavy Metal Albums of 1992' stating that 'Pantera was head and shoulders above the rest of the field.'.[58] He also ranked the album second in the 'Best Heavy Metal Albums Of The 1990s' list behind Megadeth's Rust in Peace (1990).[59] In October 2011, the album was ranked number four on Guitar World magazine's list of 'The Top 10 Guitar Albums of 1992'.[60] The album was ranked number one on Loudwire's 'Top 11 Metal Albums of the 1990s' and their 'Top 10 Albums of 1992' and the song 'Walk' was ranked number seven in their '10 Catchiest Metal Songs'.[2][61][62]Loudwire also listed four of the album's songs in their list of the '10 Best Pantera songs', they placed 'This Love' in seventh, 'Mouth for War' in fifth, 'Fucking Hostile' in third and 'Walk' in first.[63]IGN named Vulgar Display of Power the eleventh most influential heavy metal album ever on their list of the 'Top 25 Metal Albums'.[64] They said about the album:
'This album makes the list because it took heavy metal and made it heavier. Download serial generator. It took darkness and made it darker. It took anger and made it angrier. Never before had a band tuned down its guitars and crunched a heavier riff than on this album. 'Mouth for War' and 'A New Level' and 'No Good (Attack the Radical)' stand out on an album where every track is a classic track. Dimebag Darrell was an innovator and a true godsend for heavy metal. One of the most underrated players in the genre. And this may sound corny, but the way the band was able to turn seemingly negative aspects of the genre – hate, anger, violence and despair – into positive thoughts is somewhat akin to De La Soul dropping a positive message into rap.'[64]
In 2017, Rolling Stone ranked Vulgar Display of Power as 10th on their list of 'The 100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time.'[65]
The song 'Walk' has been covered by a number of bands and artists, most notably, Avenged Sevenfold recorded a cover version of the song which featured on their live album Live in the LBC & Diamonds in the Rough (2008).[15][66]

Info:
Although Vulgar Display of Power remains Pantera's best and definitive album, Cowboys from Hell was the creative breakthrough that set the stage for its conception. Not only were its demos responsible for getting Pantera signed to a major label in the first place, but its fresh musical perspective also gave them a much-needed blank slate with which to conquer the 1990s and, first and foremost, erase their 1980s failures. These failures were cataloged on no less than four independently released LPs packed with largely derivative and thoroughly unimpressive hair metal, and only the fourth of them even counted with recently installed lead vocalist Phil Anselmo, whose broader influences and irrepressible energy cannot be underestimated in altering Pantera's fate.
